            <text>Raymond Sanderlin Wood was born on January 17th, 1890 in Norfolk, Virginia to James Thomas Wood and Sarah Francis Sanderlin. He attended VPI from 1909-1914 and graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. At VPI, Wood was involved in track and football, a member of the Norfolk club, Advertising Editor of the Bugle, and a member of Cotillion Club. In the war, Wood served as a reserve officer for the infantry. When the war begins in 1917, Wood is living in North Carolina. Wood married his wife, Mary, on April 28th, 1923when they were both 33 years old. They moved to Georgia around 1930 with and in 1927 his son is born. Wood died in Fulton, Georgia in 1962. </text>
